Interior Painting in Westmont, IL

Walls, ceilings, trim and doors — prepped properly, cut in clean.

Interior painting is the service people call us for most, and it is the one where prep decides everything. A room that has been washed, filled, sanded and masked takes paint evenly and holds it for years. A room that has been rolled over on top of old nail pops and dusty trim looks fine for a month. We quote the prep as part of the job rather than as an extra, because there is no version of this work where it is optional.

We paint whole houses, single rooms, stairwells, hallways, ceilings, trim packages and accent walls for homeowners in Westmont, Downers Grove, Hinsdale, Darien, Lombard and the towns around them, plus unit turns and office refreshes for landlords, property managers and small businesses. Because the same crew does our drywall work, anything that needs patching before primer goes on gets handled in the same visit instead of becoming a second trade and a second appointment.

Local Detail

What we run into in DuPage interiors

The older ranches, split-levels and Georgians around Westmont and Downers Grove usually carry decades of paint layers, and a fair number of them have plaster rather than drywall behind the paint. That changes the prep: hairline cracks want to be opened and taped instead of skimmed over, and glossy old oil trim needs to be de-glossed and primed before anything waterborne will bond to it.

Newer construction on teardown lots in Westmont, Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills has the opposite problem — big flat drywall planes, tall stairwell walls and sharp sightlines where a bad roller pattern or a wandering ceiling line is visible from across the room. Both are routine for us, but they are not the same job, which is why we would rather look at your walls than quote a square-foot rate over the phone.

Our Process

How an interior job runs

  1. Walkthrough and colors

We look at every room in scope, note the repairs, count the doors and trim, and talk through sheen and color. If you are undecided, we will tell you what holds up in a hallway versus a bedroom ceiling.

  2. Protect the room

Furniture to the center and wrapped, floors covered wall to wall, vents and hardware off, edges masked. Nothing gets painted until the room is set up.

  3. Repair, prime, paint

Patches and cracks fixed and sanded, primer where it is needed, then finish coats in order — ceilings, walls, trim — so each one can be cut to a clean dry edge.

  4. Clean and walk it

Hardware back on, floors cleared, debris out. Then we walk the rooms with you and fix whatever you point at before the final invoice.

FAQ

Interior Painting questions

Straight answers, including the ones where the honest answer is 'it depends'.
Do I need to empty the room before you start?
No. Moving and covering furniture is part of the job. Take down anything fragile or irreplaceable and clear small items off surfaces, and we will handle the rest.
Can you paint ceilings as well as walls?
Yes, and we would usually rather do both at once. Painting a ceiling after the walls are finished means masking everything you just paid for, so when a room needs both, doing it in one pass is cheaper and cleaner.
Will you fix the cracks and holes first?
Yes. Patching, filling and sanding is included in an interior quote, and larger damage — a failed seam, a water-stained ceiling, a doorknob through the drywall — is handled by the same crew as a drywall repair. You do not need to book a second contractor.
How do I get a price?
Call or text (779) 939-9711. Photos of the rooms, with a rough idea of the ceiling height and how many doors are involved, are usually enough for a ballpark; an on-site estimate is free and gets you a firm written number.
